API Seminar Panel 3: AI for Good and Development in Southeast Asia
The final panel of Asia Prosperity Initiative Seminar, “AI for Good and Development in Southeast Asia,” brought the seminar to a close with a timely discussion on how artificial intelligence can be harnessed to enable meaningful, real-world impact across the region.
As AI continues to move rapidly from experimentation to deployment, the conversation focused on how Southeast Asia can translate AI capabilities into practical developmental outcomes — from improving services, strengthening institutions, support economic opportunities, and equitable access to ensure that AI serves the broader public good.
We are grateful to our panelists Benjamin Goh, Alvin Chia, PhD, Yin WANG, PhD, Professor Huang Jingyang, and to moderator Tim Zhang, for sharing their expertise and perspectives.
The discussion was a powerful reminder that the future of AI in Southeast Asia is not just about technological advancement, but also about ensuring that innovation is applied responsibly and inclusively.
